New Routes for 2024

Sonoma County is famous for its scenic backroad cycling, and this event shows you why. In addition to passing by many of the region’s premier vineyards, the routes wind through redwoods, apple orchards, and shady broadleaf forest. The roads meander across meadows sprinkled with wildflowers and climb over hillsides dotted with eucalyptus, bay, and oak.

All routes begin and end at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts at 50 Mark West Springs Road Santa Rosa, CA 95403. The 100 miles and 100K routes incorporate a lunch and all routes include well-supported rest stops. The routes described below are subject to change. Please check back closer to the event date for finalized routes.

OUR ROUTES:

Designed to Challenge the Body and Feed the Soul. All routes can be found HERE. You can also view each clickable route map below at RideWithGPS.com. There you can download the route to your cell phone or print out a cue sheet if you wish. All routes will be generously marked along the way!

Century Ride:

103 miles, with an elevation of 5600 ft. This is far and away our most challenging ride.

The Century Ride is designed for serious riders who are in great physical condition and experienced with significant elevation changes.  If you are up for the Challenge, then this one is for you. It’ll be a long day in the saddle but you’ll be rewarded with some of the best scenic country that we have to offer in Sonoma County.  Rolling hills, pasture lands, vineyards, redwood groves, and challenging climbs await you.

End your ride with a climb through coastal redwoods and finish with a cold beverage at our bike expo.

We’ve all had those days when we have bit off more than we could chew or our body is telling us that we’ve had enough.  Don’t worry, there is a bailout point before the west county climbs that will take you right back to our bike expo (and that cold beverage).

Metric Century Ride:

67 miles, with an elevation of  2400 ft. This is our intermediate ride – but still a great workout.

The Metric Century Ride is an intermediate ride that will be perfect for experienced riders without the extreme endurance challenges of the Century Ride. New riders in good physical condition can certainly consider the Metric Century – just be prepared for a great workout.

This is a wonderful route for teams to include riders of different levels and still stay together. With 3 moderate climbs interspersed, the route adds just enough challenge to feel the endorphins of a riders “high” and plenty of rest stops to help the recreational rider fuel up, cool down, and enjoy the incredible scenery of 3 different wine regions (Russian River, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek Valley).

Finish your ride with a cold beverage, music, and great food with old friends and maybe a new riding partner at the bike expo.

50K Ride:

31 miles of family-friendly roads winding their way through charming towns, leafy suburbs, and country backroads.

The “Little Giro” is the perfect way to spend a few hours on your bike with family and friends. Enjoy the same beautiful vistas as the Century and 100 K riders, at a more leisurely pace. There are no big hills to climb, just a few small ones  — total elevation is about 1,000 feet — but you’ll still have a chance to relish the Wine Country’s varied and breathtaking scenery.

At the end of the ride, enjoy the memories and join us for music, good food, and the expo.
